Hey this is pretty cool, maybe you should have started making comics years ago

Very cool! I love the unique design and the details of the Nautilus, the color palette and the realistic feel of the art vs. normal comic book animation. Looking forward to seeing more!

Thanks! I’m trying to emulate a Victorian pen and ink and Iwatercolor feel to age down the palette and also treat this as if it were a storyboard for a film with modern actors. Hope you enjoy it as it progresses!

One of my all-time favorite books. Subscribed with great enthusiasm! All hail Jules Verne, master of the cracking good adventure story!

I'd buy a 3-D printed version of your Nautilus in a hot minute.

If this where a movie, I'd say you absolutely nailed the casting! Looking good so far, excited to see the first sci-fi story I ever read getting the adaptation it deserves!

In my mind Jude Law should be Arronax! I absolutely love his portrayal of Watson. Conseil is loosely based on Martin Freeman, and Ned Land on Chris Hemsworth but with muttonchops/ as for Nemo, wait and see if you can figure it out.

Oh my. Oh my most definitely.

To tackle Jules Verne with such deft lines and classic coloration? It reminds me of my childhood fascination with true adventure stories and films that are still with me today. Tales such as this, Mysterious Island, The Time Machine, Robinson Crusoe, Journey to the Center of the Earth, Jason and the Argonauts...those are the sorts of adventure stories that need to be rekindled and used to inspire a whole new generation of filmmakers.

Thank you for for bringing this tale to life again!

I too enjoyed Adventure Theater classics on Sundays as a kid. Ray Harryhausens Sinbad work and Greek myths. I just saw George Pals Time machine the other day, Still good!
and James Mason in Journey to the center of the Earth is a fav.

Are you my missing twin? I used to build crappy little replicas from construction paper and glue after watching Mysterious Island, The Land that Time Forgot, and Vincent Price in Master of the Air...my parents thought I had lost my mind. (They were right, but hey.)

I think we need to start a support group for adventure story nerds. :D Ray Harryhausen is the king of stop motion animation. :)
